Phillies win spring debut
Saturday's Grapefruit League opener was anything but smooth for the Phillies, but the club pieced together a 14-13 win in Dunedin over the Blue Jays.

Weston Wilson, Scott Kingery, and Matt Kroon powered the Phillies with home runs, while multiple hitters, including Wilson, Kingery, catcher Aramis Garcia, infielder Kody Clemens, and center fielder Johan Rojas, delivered multi-hit performances. The team collectively totaled 16 hits.

Wilson finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs.

Kolby Allard, the newly acquired left-handed pitcher, took the mound for the start. In his opening frame, he conceded three runs, two of which were earned, on two hits with two walks. Throughout his 34 pitches, he managed to notch three strikeouts over two frames. Nick Nelson relieved Allard in the third inning, surrendering four runs on five hits with one walk and a strikeout across two innings.

The Phillies will play their first spring training home game on Sunday against the New York Yankees at BayCare Ballpark in Clearwater at 1:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NBC Sports Philadelphia and 94 WIP.
