West Chester
Corey Stouffer delivered a two-run double in the opening frame and Julian Costa hurled six solid innings to lead West Chester to a 5-1 victory over Charleston on Thursday in the first game of the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional at Millersville University. 
 
Costa threw 108 pitches, surrendering just one run on eight hits. He walked two and whiffed ten. 
 
Evan Profy finished 3-for-5 on the day with a pair of doubles, while Sean Szestowicki drove in two runs in the victory. 
 
David Ferguson recorded a three-inning save, allowing just one hit while collecting three strikeouts. 
 
The Golden Rams return to action on Friday and will play the winner of Thursday's Game 2 between Millersville and Charleston.
