Cabrini put up eight runs in the opening frame to set the tone early as the Cavs cruised to a 15-1 victory over Rosemont on Friday afternoon. Pat Toal delivered the biggest hit of the first inning with a three-run RBI double. 

Zack Brook hit a solo shot in the third. The Cavs erupted again in the sixth, putting up five more runs to push the lead to 15-0. 

Rosemont collected just one hit on the afternoon. James Mercante collected four strikeouts in relief for Cabrini over two innings of work. 

The Cavs will head to Myrtle Beach and face York on Monday afternoon, while Rosemont will face King's College next weekend. 

In other local D-III action
No. 19 Ithaca 16, Immaculata 8 
The Bombers put up seven runs in the first, putting the game out of reach. Josh Crowding finished with two hits and a pair of RBIs in the loss, while Joey Sacco and Frank Margiotta each chipped in with two hits.
