Penn will play host to Columbia this weekend for a best-of-three series with the winner advancing to the NCAA Tournament to represent the Ivy League as conference champion.
The Quakers (32-13, 17-4) clinched a share of the Ivy League regular season title Sunday by completing a three-game sweep of Princeton. The victories, paired with Columbia (27-15, 17-4) dropping two of three to Dartmouth, allowed the two programs to tie for the regular season pennant.
The Quakers took two of three on the road from the Lions the last weekend of March.
Kevin Eaise will start Game 1 for the Quakers. The senior right-hander finished second on the staff with strikeouts (75) and posted a 3.88 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP while finishing 7-1. He held the Lions to just two runs over six innings in a previous outing earlier this season.
At the plate, Wyatt Henseler leads the Quakers. His 13 homers set a single-season record. He finished the regular season with a .379 average, 50 RBIs, and a 1.173 OPS.
The Quakers finished with an overall .302 batting average and outscored opponents by 143 runs.
JD Ogden (2-0, 2.42) will start Game 1 for Columbia.
