Villanova outfielder Chris Rotondo has been named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, marking the fourth consecutive season the Wildcats are represented with preseason honors in the conference.

Rotondo has matured into an outstanding defensive centerfielder and brought some power to the plate last year with seven homers, a career-high. He's a career .264 hitter with a .400 OBP. He's committed just four errors in his four seasons at Villanova, posting a .986 fielding percentage.

The Connecticut native is enrolled in a graduate program but categorized as a senior for eligibility purposes. He's started 104 consecutive games for the Wildcats.

Rotondo has been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in each of his four seasons with the program.

Villanova will open the 2022 season on Feb. 18 when the Wildcats travel to Malibu, CA. for a three-game set with Pepperdine.
