La Salle (29-16, 12-4) won three of four contests over Saint Joseph's (15-15, 9-7) this past weekend, extending their cushion atop the Atlantic 10 North Division. The 29 wins are the second-most in program history, trailing the 1985 squad that collected 31 wins.

Colin Scanlon tossed a gem on Friday for the Explorers, hurling eight shutout innings while scattering five hits. He whiffed seven and improved to 6-2 on the season to go along with a 3.29 ERA. Ryan Guckin remained hot at the plate, driving in seven runs over the weekend, while Tatem Levins picked up seven hits and drove in six.

Chestnut Hill (18-13) knocked off USciences (9-15) on Saturday night in a CACC Opening Round playoff contest. Trailing 7-6 with two outs in the ninth, Nick Cerelli launched a grand slam to put the Devils ahead. The Griffins answered in the bottom of the frame, putting together a two-out rally to even the contest. An error by Evan Sinclair at third, coupled with a pair of walks, allowed Nick Delacruz to launch a sacrifice fly to left field, allowing the winning run to score. The Griffins will face Goldey-Beacom in a CACC Quarterfinal on Monday.
