La Salle baseball has some star power in 2021
There's plenty of questions surrounding the future of La Salle's baseball program, but there's no denying the fact the program has some absolute studs on its roster.

Perfect Game recognized two of La Salle's players earlier this week, naming right-handed pitcher Frank Elissalt as Perfect Game's Atlantic 10 Conference Preseason Freshman of the Year, while also honoring catcher Tatem Levins with a spot on the Preseason All-Conference Team.

Elissalt, a Miami native, was an all-district pitcher as a senior and was named to the All-Dade County Team as a junior. He was one of the top 25 recruits this year to come out of Florida after starring at Southwest Miami High School.

As for Levins, he's one of the premier sluggers in the Philly region. He hit .321 and led the Explorers with 13 RBIs, 26 total bases, and a .900 OPS before COVID-19 halted the college baseball season. As a freshman in 2019, he was named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American, Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, and Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Year.

Look for a full preview of the Explorers, and many other college teams in the Philly region, over the coming days.
