DiValerio and Lantrenta win Player of the Week honors
Each Tuesday during the regular season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review will honor a Division-I Freshman and Reliever of the Week. These honors are not based entirely on statistics, but rather the value delivered by a player throughout the week.

For the week ending on March 1, the Philadelphia Baseball Review recognizes Villanova's Lucas Latrenta as Freshman of the Week and Saint Joseph's hurler Mike Falco as Reliever of the Week.

Latrenta finished the weekend 5-for-11 (.454) for the Wildcats. He hit a pair of homers, drove in six runs, scored four times, and walked twice. The Greenwich, CT native earned Freshman of the Week honors last week.

Falco, a sophomore out of East Brunswick, NJ, picked up a win for the Hawks on Saturday against North Carolina Central. The righty tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings, surrendering just one hit. He struck out three.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in the Philadelphia region.
