Philadelphia Phillies sign reliever David Robertson
The Philadelphia Phillies bolstered their bullpen on Thursday, signing right-hander David Robertson to a two-year deal worth at least $23 million. The deal includes an option.

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com was the first to report the signing.

Robertson, 33, was 8-3 last season with the Yankees with a 3.23 ERA in 69 2/3 innings. He has a career 147 ERA+ and slots well in the backend of the Phillies bullpen.

Robertson has tossed at least 60 innings over each of the last nine seasons and has outstanding stuff, including one of the best curveballs in all of baseball. A ground ball pitcher, he projects well at Citizens Bank Park.
