Philadelphia Phillies announce report dates and schedule for Spring Training.
The Philadelphia Phillies will report to Spring Training on Feb. 14 with the first full squad workout set for Feb. 19. The club will play an exhibition against the University of Tampa on Feb. 22 before opening the Grapefruit League schedule on Feb. 23 with a contest against Toronto in Dunedin, Fla.

Spring training will be shortened by two days as new restrictions in Major League Baseball's collective bargaining agreement take effect on game times for regular-season getaway days. The change was tied to spreading each team's 162 regular-season games over 187 days, up from 183.

The Phillies will play 33 Grapefruit games in 33 days, with two off days and two sets of split-squad games. The Spring Training Home Opener is set for Feb. 24 against Baltimore.

The Phillies conclude Spring Training with a March 27 game against Pittsburgh before opening the regular season March 29 in Atlanta.
