Spring training will be shortened by two days as new restrictions in Major League Baseball's collective bargaining agreement take effect on game times for regular-season getaway days. The change was tied to spreading each team's 162 regular-season games over 187 days, up from 183.
The Phillies will play 33 Grapefruit games in 33 days, with two off days and two sets of split-squad games. The Spring Training Home Opener is set for Feb. 24 against Baltimore.
The Phillies conclude Spring Training with a March 27 game against Pittsburgh before opening the regular season March 29 in Atlanta.
