Philadelphia Phillies prospect Tom Eshelman
Tom Eshelman tossed two innings, surrendering one run on a solo homer by Colin Moran, as the International League All-Stars fell to the Pacific League All-Stars 6-4 in the Triple-A All-Star Game held Wednesday night in Tacoma, Wash.

Eshelman, 23, is among the International League leaders in ERA, WHIP, batting average against and wins. Since his promotion to Triple-A Lehigh Valley he's gone 7-2 in 11 starts and pitched to a 1.96 ERA.

Already at 107 innings pitched on the season including his stint in Reading, the IronPigs plan to carefully watch Eshelman's innings total. He's already been moved to the back of the rotation in an effort to limit his workload.

Jorge Alfaro also played in Wednesday's contest, going 0-for-2.
