Philly Select League
The Philly Mummers exploded for seven runs in the fourth inning and rode a dominant outing from Justin Marraccini to an 11-0 win over the Philly Bandits Collegiate team on Wednesday.

Marraccini was electric, striking out 11 while allowing just two hits over four shutout innings. He didn’t issue a walk and had the Bandits off balance from the opening pitch.

The Mummers jumped ahead early with two runs in the bottom of the first, the first coming off an RBI single by Kaden Pasternak. But it was the fourth inning where things unraveled for the Bandits. The Mummers plated seven runs on just two hits — a two-run single by Dylan Hirsh, a defensive miscue that brought in another run, and the big blow: a grand slam off the bat of Dylan Pope that cleared the right-field fence.

Pope finished the game with four RBIs, while Evan Hawkes paced the Mummers at the top of the lineup with a 2-for-4 day. Owen Pinkerton added a pair of walks, and the Mummers showed patience at the plate, drawing nine walks in total.

The Bandits managed just two hits — one each from Brian Klumpp and Peter Crespo — and will look to regroup Monday when they travel to face Bucks County Ghost 18U.

Sesar Shines as Rake Collegiate Blanks Bucks County Ghost
Behind five scoreless innings from starter Jordan Sesar, Rake cruised to a 4-0 win over Bucks County Ghost on Wednesday.

Sesar was locked in from the outset, allowing just one hit while striking out eight and walking three in a dominant outing. He got early support in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Pat Kilgus.

Kilgus led the offense for Rake, finishing 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs. The defense backed up the strong pitching with two double plays and error-free baseball.

Bucks County starter Gianni Serenelli went four innings, giving up four runs on six hits while striking out four. Offensively, the Ghosts were limited to just one hit — a single by Will Seiler — and never mounted a serious threat.
