Philly Mummers Baseball cruised to a 12–2 victory over Rake Collegiate on Tuesday evening at Gwynedd Mercy University.
Rake jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning when Pat Kilgus singled to bring home a run. But the Mummers quickly answered, as Dylan Pope singled to center to tie the game in the bottom of the frame.
Philly took control in the second inning. Matt Carr delivered an RBI single to center, Evan Hawkes grounded into a fielder’s choice that plated another run, and Pope was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Three runs scored in the frame to give the Mummers a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
Justin Marraccini earned the win for Philly, allowing just three hits and one run over three innings while striking out two. Cameron Visconto got the start for Rake, surrendering four runs (three earned) on three hits over three innings.
The Mummers racked up 12 hits on the day. Carr, Hawkes, Tyler Harper, and Quinn Erlandsen each collected two. Carr and Kaden Pasternak drove in three runs apiece. Philly also showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks — with Pope and Erlandsen each walking twice.
On the bases, Philly was relentless, stealing 11 total bags. Carr and Hawkes led the charge with multiple swipes each.
For Rake, Kilgus drove in a run and went 1-for-3. Trevor Harris led the club with a 2-for-3 day, while Robert Del Buono added two stolen bases.
Philly Mummers returns to action Thursday at home for a rivalry contest against the Philly Fightin’ Quakers.

Philly Bandits Collegiate used five pitchers to combine for a shutout on Tuesday, blanking ASBA Futures by a score of 5–0.
Braden Kelly, Daniel Mateffy, Owen Wheeler, Christian Clauss, and Edward Dingle all saw time on the mound for the Bandits. Wheeler earned the win after striking out two in a perfect inning. Mateffy opened the game with two scoreless innings, striking out four.
Kelly secured the final out of the game with a strikeout.
Philly broke the scoreless tie in the third inning when Brian Klumpp roped a two-run double to open the scoring. Klumpp led the offense with two RBIs and finished 1-for-2. Leor Kedar, Klumpp, and Brett Barrett each chipped in a hit.
The Bandits showed discipline at the plate, drawing 11 walks. Kedar, Tahir Parker, Sean Burke, and Price each walked twice. The team also stole four bases.
Jacob Ruddell and Jaydan Duncan each collected a hit for ASBA Futures, who turned one double play in the field.
