Harry Genth
Haverford senior captain Harry Genth didn’t just have a big week — he had the kind of week that gets remembered in program record books.

Genth went 6-for-11 at the plate across three games, scoring five runs, swatting three home runs (including a grand slam), lacing a triple, swiping three bases, and driving in 10 runs. That’s not a misprint. That’s a .545/.643/1.545 slash line — and yes, that’s a 1.545 slugging percentage.

In the process, Genth shattered Haverford’s single-season home run record and tied the program’s all-time mark for career runs scored with 163.

One of the most feared hitters in all of NCAA Division III, Genth now leads the nation in home runs (15), total bases (104), and home runs per game. He ranks second in slugging percentage (.990) and RBIs (58), third in runs per game (1.64), ninth in total runs scored (46), and 13th in on-base percentage (.559).

Fueled by Genth’s scorching bat and a veteran-heavy lineup, Haverford has become one of the top offensive squads in the country. The Fords have mashed 41 home runs — fifth-most nationally — and average 9.8 runs per game, good for seventh in D-III.

Haverford picked up a win over Ursinus on Tuesday and will see the Bears again Friday in a crucial Centennial Conference matchup. The Fords sit at 5-6 in league play, clinging to the fifth and final postseason spot, while Ursinus is just one game back at 4-7 in a crowded middle of the pack.
