Each week throughout the college baseball season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review recognizes standout performances across all divisions with our College Player and Pitcher of the Week honors, celebrating the region’s top talent and exceptional achievements.

For the second consecutive week, the D-I Philly Pitcher of the Week is graduate student Bobby Olsen. The right-hander delivered another outstanding performance on Friday, tossing eight innings of one-run ball with a season-high nine strikeouts in a 2-1 win over NJIT. The right-hander needed just 97 pitches, scattering six hits without issuing a walk. Through five starts, he owns a 2.73 ERA and has been a steady force in the Wildcats’ rotation.

On the offensive side, Penn catcher Qwynn Ahearn earns Philadelphia Baseball Review Offensive Player of the Week honors. The sophomore went 5-for-15 with six RBIs, collecting a double, triple, and homer as the Quakers swept Lafayette following a midweek setback against Rutgers. Ahearn leads Penn with a .333 average, three homers, and 10 RBIs on the season.

For nearly a decade, the Philadelphia Baseball Review has been committed to covering college baseball across the region, shining a spotlight on the best amateur talent and their accomplishments.
