Each week throughout the college baseball season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review honors standout performances across all divisions with our College Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, recognizing the region’s top talent and exceptional achievements.
This week, Saint Joseph's junior infielder Owen Petrich claimed our D-I Player of the Week honors. The Central Bucks South product delivered a clutch homer on Sunday, propelling the Hawks to a crucial conference win over VCU. He put together a stellar week at the plate, going 9-for-15 with nine runs scored, two homers, and four RBIs.
On the mound, Penn senior Will Tobin was dominant, earning Pitcher of the Week honors. The right-hander tossed a two-hit, seven-inning gem on Saturday, leading the Quakers to a much-needed win at Dartmouth. He fanned seven, walked three, and allowed just one run while holding the Big Green hitless for five innings. The performance secured his first victory of the 2025 season as Penn improved to 9-12 overall and 4-2 in Ivy League play.
For nearly a decade, the Philadelphia Baseball Review has remained dedicated to covering college baseball across the region, spotlighting the best amateur talent and their accomplishments. Stay tuned for weekly honors as we continue to celebrate the players making an impact on the diamond.
