Phillies Minor League Report: Fausnaught tosses five solid frames in Double-A debut

Class AAA -- Darick Hall collected his 262nd career RBI on Thursday, breaking the Lehigh Valley record that was held previously by Andy Tracy. Kyle Tyler pitched well in his IronPigs debut, surrendering one run in five innings of work. He scattered two hits, walked three, and whiffed seven. The Phillies claimed Tyler, 27, from the Marlins on Sunday. He went 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA in eight games with the Marlins this year(seven starts), fanning 25 batters but walking 18 over 31 2/3 innings. Mick Abel tossed five scoreless frames on Wednesday, extending his scoreless streak to 11 innings over two consecutive starts. 

 

Class AA -- Reading placed hurler Braeden Fausnaught on the Development List on Thursday. The West Chester grad has pieced together an outstanding season, posting an 8-3 record at A+ Jersey Shore with a 3.56 ERA over 103 2/3 innings. He also has 95 strikeouts and has posted a 1.22. Robinson Pina was promoted to Triple-A earlier this week after posting a 12-4 mark with Reading that included a 3.95 ERA, 107 strikeouts over 101 1/3 innings, and a 1.20 WHIP.

 

Class A --Aidan Miller is performing better in August, hitting .273 for the month. Still, it's been a disappointing season for the 20-year-old as he's hitting just .244 on the season with a .362 OBP. Mavis Graves was hit around a bit in his last start, surrendering seven runs (four earned) over 3 2/3 innings, but his 114 strikeouts is tops in the organization.
