Jazz Chisholm’s second straight two-homer game, which included five RBIs, powered the New York Yankees past the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-6, in a marathon 12-inning contest on Tuesday night. The win marked the Yankees’ first four-game winning streak since early June.

Chisholm ignited the scoring with an RBI grounder in the first inning and followed up with a solo homer off Aaron Nola in the sixth. His three-run shot in the seventh against Matt Strahm gave the Yankees a 5-4 lead. Despite a wild pitch from Clay Holmes allowing Johan Rojas to tie the game in the ninth, the Yankees regained the lead in the 11th on Alex Verdugo’s sacrifice fly. Austin Hays kept the game alive with an RBI single in the bottom of the inning, but a diving catch by Trent Grisham on Alec Bohm’s liner stranded Hays at third.

In the 12th inning, Gleyber Torres delivered a go-ahead sacrifice fly against Orion Kerkering (2-2), and Michael Tonkin (4-4) sealed the win with a flawless inning of relief, striking out two. The Phillies suffered their third three-game losing streak of the season and their 10th loss in 14 games.

Bryce Harper’s struggles continued as the two-time MVP went 0-for-5, dropping to 1-for-25 in his last six games. Alec Bohm’s RBI double in the first and Hays’ three-run homer in the fourth off Yankees starter Will Warren initially gave the Phillies a 4-1 lead.

Warren, a 25-year-old right-hander making his big league debut, stepped in for the scratched Gerrit Cole. He allowed four runs on four hits over 5 1/3 innings, striking out six and walking two. He induced 25 swings and misses among his 97 pitches. Carlos Estévez pitched a perfect ninth in his first game since being acquired from the Los Angeles Angels, extending his scoreless streak to 19 innings over 19 appearances since May 21.

Aaron Nola tossed 5 2/3 frames for the Phillies, surrendering two runs on seven hits.

The loss marked the Phillies’ fifth consecutive series defeat. The series finale is set for Wednesday at 12:35 p.m., with LHP Nestor Cortes (4-9, 4.13 ERA) starting for the Yankees against LHP Cristopher Sánchez (7-6, 3.05 ERA) for the Phillies.
