Aaron Nola wins 100th game
Trea Turner’s pair of two-run homers off Max Fried powered the Phillies to an 8-6 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Friday night, while Aaron Nola earned his 100th career win, extending Philadelphia’s NL East lead to 10 games.

Nola (10-4) dominated early, retiring Atlanta’s first 10 batters before Ozzie Albies singled in the fourth. Austin Riley followed with a two-run homer, but the Braves couldn’t keep pace with Philadelphia’s offense. Albies, who collected three hits including a solo homer, and Marcell Ozuna, who added a three-run shot off José Alvarado in the eighth, tried to rally Atlanta but fell short.

Turner, recently voted as one of Philadelphia's three National League All-Star Game starters, led the Phillies’ power surge. His first homer off Fried (7-4) came in a three-run fourth inning. His second, a 459-foot drive to the left field seats in the sixth, marked his 16th career multi-homer game and solidified the Phillies' lead.

Philadelphia's All-Star lineup also features Alec Bohm and Bryce Harper, although Harper's status remains uncertain due to a left hamstring strain. With the win, the Phillies opened the weekend series on a high note, reinforcing their position atop the division.
