The Hawks (25-23, 12-10) dominated the first game of the series on Thursday, achieving a 9-0 shutout.
Domenic Picone delivered a stellar performance, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out four over six shutout innings.
Picone held the Colonials hitless for five and a third innings, just four days after Ryan DeSanto nearly threw a no-hitter against George Mason.
Offensively, Owen Petrich led the charge, going 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Weingartner contributed two hits, a walk, and two RBIs, while scoring twice.
Luke Zimmerman also had two hits, and both Conlan Wall and Ryan Cesarini scored two runs each. Cesarini walked three times during the game.
The Atlantic 10 Tournament begins next Tuesday at Capital One Park in Tysons, Virginia.
