Local products Joe Kaleck and J.R. Gifford led No. 8 West Chester to its fifth straight win on Friday, knocking off St. Anselm at the U.S. National Baseball Training Complex in Cary, N.C., 17-0.
Kaleck, a graduate of Neshaminy, hit a two-run double while finishing with five RBIs, while Archbishop Wood grad Gifford chipped in with a three-run homer in the win.
David Ferguson tossed a gem, scattering four hits while sitting down eight over seven outstanding innings.
Corey Stouffer (Souderton) finished 3-for-4, while Evan Profy (Truman) was 3-for-5 in the win with a pair of runs and an RBI.
The victory pushed the Golden Rams to 7-1 on the season.
The club returns to the diamond on Saturday with a doubleheader against Saint Thomas Aquinas College at the U.S. National Baseball Training Complex.
