The Phillies acquired shortstop Freddy Galvis from the Orioles on Friday in exchange for pitching prospect Tyler Burch.

Galvis, 31, spent six seasons in Philadelphia before being traded to the San Diego Padres at the 2017 Winter Meetings. He's currently on the Injured List with a right quad strain but should be ready to play next week.

Galvis is hitting .249 with nine homers and 26 RBIs over 72 games this season.

Burch, 23, is a reliever with a 2.63 career ERA. He's 4-3 this season at Class-A Jersey Shore with 49 strikeouts over 29 1/3 innings.
