Saint Joseph's fall in A10 Tourney
Saint Joseph's was eliminated from the Atlantic 10 tournament on Thursday, falling to VCU in afternoon before losing to Dayton in an elimination game hours later.

The Hawks finish the season with a 21-19 record and have now recorded at least 20 victories for ten consecutive seasons dating back to 2011.

VCU opened up an early 8-0 lead in Game 1, forcing the Hawks to play from behind. Saint Joseph's scored four in the third, but that's as close as they would get as the Rams coasted to a 15-4 win.

Luca Trigiani and Brandon Drapeau collected two hits each in the loss. Ian McCool was chased after just two innings, surrendering eight runs (four earned) on five hits.

The Hawks committed a season-high six errors in the contest.

In the nightcap, the Hawks played tight with Dayton until the Flyers put up a six-spot in the fourth inning. The Hawks answered in the bottom of the frame with Andrew Cossetti launching a solo shot and Brett Callahan poking an RBI single, trimming the score to 6-2.

Cossetti hit another homer in the seventh, but his showcase at the plate wasn't enough as the Flyers went on to beat the Hawks, 11-5.

Luke Smith took the loss, surrendering six runs - though all unearned - over 3 2/3 innings.

The Hawks committed eight errors on the day, allowing for ten unearned runs.
