Phillies face the Braves
Phillies skipper Joe Girardi has shared today's Opening Day lineup as the Phillies play host to the Atlanta Braves this afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. The first pitch is set for 3:05 p.m. ET.

The only surprise is Adam Haseley getting the start in center field.

1. Andrew McCutchen LF
2. Rhys Hoskins 1B
3. Bryce Harper RF
4. J.T. Realmuto C
5. Alec Bohm 3B
6. Didi Gregorius SS
7. Jean Segura 2B
8. Adam Haseley CF
9. Aaron Nola P

This will be Nola's fourth consecutive Opening Day start, the second-most in franchise history behind Hall of Famer Steve Carlton and his mark of 10. In his previous three Opening Day starts, Nola is 1-1, 3.24 ERA (6 ER, 16.1 IP) with 18 strikeouts to seven walks. Nola has made 20 starts in his career against the Braves. He is 11-6 with a 3.05 ERA.

Carry it over
Offensively, Bryce Harper slashed .343/.477/.771 (1.249 OPS) this spring in 44 at-bats and led the Phillies in batting average, OBP, SLG and OPS and was tied for the team lead in home runs with four.

On the bump
Left-hander Max Fried will start for the Braves, aiming to build on an outstanding 2020 campaign where he finished fifth in NL Cy Young voting after posting a 2.25 ERA to go along with 50 strikeouts over 56 innings. He also dominated the Phillies last year, surrendering one run over two starts - both victories for the Braves.
