Phillies announce 53-man player pool for camp
The Phillies announced on Sunday their initial player pool to open the 2020 season. The roster consists of 53 players, including three catchers, ten infielders, nine outfielders, and 31 pitchers.

The roster can expand to as many as 60 players, meaning the club can add seven more players to the pool over the coming weeks.

The club will open workouts on Friday at Citizens Bank Park. Opening Day is scheduled for either July 23 or 24.

Starting pitchers (11): Jake Arrieta, Enyel De Los Santos, Zach Eflin, Spencer Howard, Cole Irvin, Aaron Nola, Nick Pivetta, Ranger Suárez, Vince Velasquez, Zack Wheeler.

Relief pitchers (20): José Álvarez, Victor Arano, Connor Brogdon, Garrett Cleavinger, Édgar Garcia, Deolis Guerra, Tommy Hunter, Damon Jones, Trevor Kelley, Francisco Liriano, Mauricio Llovera, Reggie McClain, Adam Morgan, Héctor Neris, Bud Norris, Blake Parker, JoJo Romero, Ramon Rosso, Addison Russ, Connor Seabold, Robert Stock.

Catchers (3): Deivy Grullón, Andrew Knapp, J.T. Realmuto.

Infielders (10): Alec Bohm, Logan Forsythe, Phil Gosselin, Didi Gregorius, Josh Harrison, Rhys Hoskins, Scott Kingery, Jean Segura, Ronald Torreyes, Neil Walker.

Outfielders (9): Jay Bruce, Kyle Garlick, Bryce Harper, Adam Haseley, Mikie Mahtook, Nick Martini, Andrew McCutchen, Roman Quinn, Nick Williams.

Clubs will carry a 30-man roster for the first two weeks, 28 for the next two weeks, and 26 for the remainder of the season.

There will be a COVID-19 related injured list, with no minimum or maximum length of placement. A player may be placed on that list based on a positive COVID-19 test or confirmed exposure or if a player exhibits symptoms requiring self-isolation for further assessment. Any player who tests positive will not be allowed to return until he tests negative twice.
