Villanova and La Salle put up strong efforts
The Wildcats put together another strong effort on Sunday, but fell to No. 9 Arizona State, 6-4. The offense collected just two hits on the afternoon but made the most of five walks at the plate.

Dylan McNary hit a two-run blast in the seventh to tie the contest at 4-4, but the Sun Devils scored one run each in the seventh and eighth innings via passed balls to take the contest.

Other scores
Furman 6, La Salle 5: The Explorers again relied on some late-inning heroics, scoring three runs in the eighth but fell short by a run in the series finale. Ross Mulhall finished 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored while Elijah Dickerson chipped in with two hits of his own, including a double. Tatem Levins drove in a pair. Manny Corporan pitched well, tossing six innings while surrendering three runs on three hits. He struck out seven.

Kent State 11, Saint Joseph's 3: James McConnon collected two hits for the Hawks in the losing effort. Nate Thomas drove in a pair and Brendan Hueth finished 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Lucas Rollins took the loss, allowing six runs - five earned - over four innings.
