Cabrini wins season opener
Brendan Van Belle collected three hits and scored three runs to lead the Cabrini offense to an impressive 10-2 win over Eastern on Wednesday in the Cavaliers season opener at the Maplezone in Aston.

Eastern jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the third before Cabrini responded with nine unanswered runs to secure the victory.

Garret Laraia finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs while Mack McKisson finished 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and two runs scored.

Right-hander Kyran Weemaels picked up the win, tossing three scoreless innings in relief while surrendering just two hits. He struck out one. Jonathan Baker started the contest, allowing two earned runs over the first three innings.

The Cavs now head to Florida where they will play nine games in six days, beginning on Sunday with a contest against Augustana College.

In Other Action
No. 13 Salisbury 11, Immaculata 0
The Macs were limited to just four hits on the afternoon with Trevor Wagner accounting for a pair.

Salisbury held a 4-0 lead entering the eighth inning before freshman reliever Stephen DiBatista encountered some serious trouble, surrendering five runs on six hits while recording just one out.

The Macs return to the diamond on Sunday with a doubleheader against Rutgers-Camden at Maplezone.
