Smolen and Blake earn Player of the Week honors from the Philadelphia Baseball Review
Each Tuesday during the regular season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review will honor a Division-III Player and Pitcher of the Week. These honors are not based entirely on statistics, but rather the value delivered by a player throughout the week.

For the week ending on February 16, the Philadelphia Baseball Review is honoring a pair of players from Arcadia in freshman outfielder Ryan Smolen as Player of the Week and senior right-hander Mitch Blake as Pitcher of the Week.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Tuesday throughout the college season.

Smolen finished the weekend 6-for-11 (.545) and drove in a run. He also posted an OPS of 1.310 and led the Knights with eight total bases.

Blake tossed three scoreless innings on Friday in a win over Methodist, picking up a save while not allowing a hit. He struck out six.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in the Philadelphia region.
