Usciences and Phillies agree to deal
University of the Sciences and the Phillies have formally agreed to a new partnership that will allow the Devils to continue to practice and play at the Phillies' Urban Youth Academy in FDR Park.

The Devils played the majority of their home games over the past two seasons at the complex. Joining the baseball program at FDR Park will be the USciences' softball team.

"We are extremely excited to formalize our partnership with the Philadelphia Phillies," said Dr. Marc Caserio, USciences Athletic Director, in a statement. "Both the baseball and softball complexes at FDR Park are state-of-the-art facilities. This partnership is going to have a positive impact on our current and future student-athletes and we are hopeful that this is the start of a long and mutually beneficial partnership."

The agreement includes partnership opportunities for the Phillies and USciences with baseball clinics and other educational related activities.

"The Phillies are delighted and proud to formalize our partnership with University of the Sciences, to allow them to use our UYA Fields," Rob Holiday, Director, Amateur Scouting Administration for the Phillies, commented. "The Phillies UYA provides, baseball, softball, and educational opportunities for inner-city youths from throughout the city. Having the USciences student-athletes mentor the UYA players, on and off the field, will be an invaluable asset to our UYA."

The Devils finished 13-19 this past season in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.
