Jack Cucinotta and Christian Scafidi earn D-I Player of the Week honors
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its Division-I College Player of the Week awards on Monday for the period ending April 21.

La Salle sophomore outfielder Jack Cucinotta was named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's Hitter of the Week, while Penn junior right-hander Christian Scafidi has been named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's Pitcher of the Week.

Cucinotta finished the week 5-for-13 (.385) with three homers, six RBIs, five walks, and five runs scored. He's hitting .284 on the season with 15 RBIs over 18 starts.

Scafidi tossed eight solid innings on Saturday against Yale, surrendering two earned runs on nine hits. He walked one, struck out five, and lowered in ERA on the season to 3.25.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Monday throughout the college season.
