Villanova releases 2019 baseball schedule
The Villanova baseball program released its schedule for the 2019 season on Monday with highlights including 22 home games and an exhibition against the Philadelphia Phillies in Clearwater, Fla.

The Wildcats open the year on February 15th and will participate in a tournament in Kissimmee, Fla. where the club will face Pittsburgh, George Mason, and Milwaukee during the opening weekend.

The club returns to Florida in early March for the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. for six games before traveling to Clearwater for an exhibition contest with the Phillies.

The Wildcats open the home portion of their 2019 slate on March 12th with a visit from Navy and will play 13 straight at Villanova Ballpark beginning with a three-game slate on March 22nd against LIU-Brooklyn.

Villanova will host Penn in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic on March 26th and open Big East conference play on April 5th while hosting Seton Hall for a three-game set.

The Wildcats are looking to bounce back from a rough 2018 season where they finished 9-39 overall and 1-17 in Big East action. The club also struggled mightily at home, winning just two of 22 contests.

The entire Villanova schedule can be found here.
