Hoskins fouled a ball off his face in the ninth inning on Monday. He didn't start on Tuesday but did pick up a pinch-hit double in Tuesday's 6-1 win at Dodger Stadium.Rhys Hoskins is a likely DL situation, Gabe Kapler said. A CAT scan revealed a fracture in the jaw. Hoskins will fly to Philly to see team physician for further evaluation. There are surgical and non-surgical options for recovery.— Todd Zolecki (@ToddZolecki) May 30, 2018
Hoskins and manager Gabe Kapler originally believed the only issue to be a laceration inside the bottom lip, but multiple reports indicate a CT scan found the fracture earlier today.
There is no timetable yet on his return.
Hoskins has been struggling at the plate all month, hitting just .161 in May with two homers and nine RBIs.
