PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies sit four games under the .500 mark and have lost seven of their last nine games. Meanwhile, the Reds are seven games behind the the Brewers in the NL Central.

Phillies Notes:  The Phillies are averaging just 2.10 runs per game over their last 10 games at Citizens Bank Park (3-7 record), which is the worst home runs scored average in the majors since April 16 ... During that period, the Phillies have been held to one run or fewer at home six times and been shut out three times ... Their .208 home batting average over that stretch ranks 29th in MLB while their .259 home OBP ranks last ... Kyle Kendrick enters Friday's contest riding an eight game losing skid, the longest for a Phillies starter since Randy Wolf had a 10 game slide in 1999 ... Since the beginning of the 2008 season, the Phillies are 17-6 (.739) against theReds at Citizens Bank Park ... In those 23 games,Philadelphia has outscored Cincinnati, 123-79.

Roster Notes: The Phillies activated Darin Ruf (oblique strain) from the disabled list on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley ... Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez began his rehab assignment (shoulder) on Thursday and tossed five innings in a no decision. He surrendered three runs, walked two, and struck out one.
