Freshman & reliever of the week for the Philadelphia Baseball Review
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its Division-I Freshman Player of the Week and Reliever of the Week awards on Monday for the period ending February 17.

Andrew Cossetti of Saint Joseph's and senior right-hander Connor Hinchliffe of La Salle each received the honors.

Cossetti, a product of La Salle College High, finished his collegiate debut weekend hitting .294 (5-for-17) with a homer and six RBIs for the Hawks. Hinchliffe tossed 3 1/3 innings over the weekend, securing a pair of saves for the Explorers who took two of three from Charleston Southern. He surrendered just two hits and struck out six.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names a D-I Freshman of the Week and Reliever of the Week every Tuesday throughout the college season.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in Philadelphia region.

On Monday, the Philadelphia Baseball Review honored James McConnon and Chris Rotondo as co-Hitters of the Week and Jake Meyers as Pitcher of the Week.

McConnon went 9-for-17 (.529) over the weekend with a pair of doubles for Saint Joseph's. He also drove in six runs, walked three times, and didn't strike out over four contests. As for Rotondo, he finished 6-for-13 (.462) for Villanova and collected ten total bases.

Meyers tossed six scoreless innings on Friday for the Hawks in their lone victory of the weekend. The senior scattered five hits and struck out three while not issuing a walk.
