Jose Taveras one of eight Philadelphia Phillies prospects named to FSL All-Star roster
Eight players representing the Clearwater Threshers are on the North roster for tonight's Florida State League All-Star Game set for Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla.

Catcher Deivi Grullon, infielder Drew Stankiewicz, outfielders Zach Coppola and Herlis Rodriguez, and pitchers Jose Taveras, Jeff Singer, Cole Irvin, and Seranthony Dominguez were all voted in by the league's coaches, broadcaster, and official scorers.

Taveras, 23, led the South Atlantic League with 154 strikeouts a season ago, and has gone 4-2 with a 2.26 ERA in his first nine starts for Clearwater, limiting opponents to just a .225 average. Irvin, who was drafted in the fifth round out of Oregon last year, skipped Low-A and dominated the FSL in his first month, posting a 1.04 ERA over four starts in April.

Dominguez - ranked by MLB.com as the Phillies' 30th best prospect - dominated in his seven appearances, before being sidelined on May 13 with a shoulder issue. The 22-year-old right-hander was 3-0 with a 2.02 ERA, with a whopping 45 strikeouts in 35.2 innings.

The Threshers are 36-31 and tied for the top spot in the North Division.
