The Phillies fell victim to a revamped Red Sox offense on Monday, dropping the season opener 8-0 at Citizens Bank Park.

Cole Hamels surrendered four homers for just the second time in his career and the offense mustered just three hits in the losing effort.

Tonight's contest features two veteran starting pitchers making debuts with their new clubs.

Aaron Harang inked a one-year, $5 million contract this offseason with the Phillies after going 11-11 with a 3.57 ERA with Atlanta last season. For Boston, Rick Porcello enters the season coming off a career year with personal bests in wins (15) and ERA (3.43) while with Detroit.

Today's Pitching Matchup: Aaron Harang (0-0, 0.00) vs. Rick Porcello (0-0, 0.00) ... When Harang throws his first pitch tonight, it will officially make the Phillies the 8th team he has played for in his 14 year career (OAK, CIN, SD, LAD, SEA, NYM, ATL, PHI), including seven different clubs over the past six seasons.

PHI Lineup: Revere 8, Ruiz 2, Utley 4, Howard 3, Ruf 7, Asche 5, Francoeur 9, Galvis 6, Harang 1.

BOS Lineup: Betts 8, Pedroia 4, Sandoval 5, Ramirez 7, Napoli 3, Nava 9, Hanigan 2, Bogaerts 6, Porcello 1.

Phillies Notes: Odubel Herrera is not in lineup because of a sore left foot (fouled a ball of it on Monday). He's day to day and eligible to pinch hit tonight ... Ryne Sandberg mentioned Darin Ruf may find some playing time in right field if he does well at the plate ... Chad Billingsley is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple A Lehigh Valley on Friday. He may join the Phillies' rotation by the end of the month.

Weather Forecast: 44-degrees and cloudy with showers, east northeast winds at 14 mph.

Today's Vegas Odds:  Phillies +123.
