According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Phillies have agreed to terms with infielder Ronny Cedeno on a minor league deal plus a Spring Training invite.

The 30-year old, who turns 31 next month, split time with the Astros and Padres last season, combining for a. 242 average with three home runs in 89 games.

In the 2013 Winter Leagues, Cedeno had more promising numbers, hitting .301 with a .399 on base percentage, while driving in 14 runs in 39 games.

Cedeno, who has played for the Cubs, Pirates, Mets, Padres, Mariners, and Astros in his journeyman career, will look to earn a roster spot on the bench.  If he makes it, he could help Sandberg give Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley more days off.
