Looks like the Phillies aren't done hiring former players for vacant roles.  This trend seems to be continuing.

Multiple sources have said that former Phillies' lefty, Jamie Moyer, is in Philadelphia for an interview for the recently much-talked about broadcaster's job for this upcoming season.

Moyer, the seemingly ageless pitcher who wanted to retire when he reached the number on the back of his jersey (50), is now 51 and works as an analyst for ESPN.  He appears to be the front runner along with Mitch Williams (who is an analyst for MLB Network) for the color commentator job alongside Tom McCarthy.

Another interesting fact about Moyer is that he is a local guy.  He grew up in Souderton, PA, and went to Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia.

In addition to being from the Philadelphia region, he always wanted to have a long career with the Phillies, and now that goal seems to be within reach.
