In an off-season filled with signing former Phillies' players, albeit much older now, it is only appropriate that the management would be filled with ex-Phillies as well.

In addition to already bringing Charlie Manuel back as the senior adviser to Amaro, Larry Bowa as the bench coach, and Carlos Ruiz, to name a few, the Phillies have added more alumni to their Spring Training coaching staff.

There will be five more former Phillies on there who will be invited this year to serve as guest instructors.  Among them are Larry Andersen (the color commentator with Scott Franzke), Roy Halladay, (the latest Phillie retiree), Dave Hollins (special assignment scout for the Phillies), Brad Lidge (only Phillie closer with perfect save opportunity season), and Gary Matthews (the latest Phillies' broadcaster to get fired).

The fact that this is the highlight of the day should indciate something about the the way this off-season has gone for the Phillies
