Phillies and Braves face off in Philly
The Phillies enter play on Friday with 34 games remaining and trail the division-leading Braves by four games. The two clubs open a weekend set at Citizens Bank Park and won't meet again for the remainder of the regular season.

The Phillies turn to Zack Eflin in the opener. Eflin has been outstanding all season, pitching to the tune of a 2.76 ERA over five starts with a 3-0 record.

So far this year, the Phillies have won just three of seven contests against the Braves.

Pitching schedule
Manager Joe Girardi announced his pitching plans for the weekend with Zach Eflin scheduled to go on Saturday and Jake Arrieta on Sunday. Spencer Howard will then go Monday when the Nationals roll in.

Hoskins streak
First baseman Rhys Hoskins extended his on-base streak to 21 consecutive games Wednesday night, which is now tied for his career- long (other: 7/10-8/4/18). The last Phillies first baseman with a longer on-base streak was Ryan Howard, who had a 23-game streak from July 6 to August 1, 2009.

A hot Harper
Right fielder Bryce Harper has 20 runs, 20 RBI and 20 walks in his first 25 games of the 2020 season. Per Elias, since RBI became an official stat in 1920, only two other Phillies have done this: Von Hayes in 1989 and Mike Schmidt in 1983

Remembering Jackie
Major League Baseball will commemorate the life and achievements of Jackie Robinson on Friday. Robinson broke the baseball color barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. His first appearance in Philadelphia against the Phillies came on May 9th when he finished 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored.

For his career against the Phillies, Robinson hit .287 over 197 games. He hit 18 homers and drove in 82.
