Chestnut Hill splits doubleheader with Bentley
Chestnut Hill opened its 2020 campaign with a doubleheader split on Saturday against Bentley. The Griffins won the first contest, 10-4, but dropped Game Two, 11-10.

Billy Bethel collected the win in Game One, though he pitched in and out of trouble through six innings, surrendering four runs on four hits. He walked five and struck out four.

John Contoudis paced the offense in Game One, finishing 4-for-5 with three RBIs. Ameir Uzzell and Luke LeBeau each collected three hits.

In Game Two, Bentley scored nine runs in the opening frame and chased Griffins starter Thomas Hughes before he could record an out. He surrendered eight runs on four hits and three walks.

Contoudis doubled and drove in a run in the loss.

The Devils committed seven errors on the day. Starter John McCrane surrendered nine runs - five earned - on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Hunter Parrish homered in the loss while Chris Anderson finished 2-for-6 and drove in a pair of runs.
