Jordan DiValerio & David Smith win weekly Philadelphia Baseball Review honors
Each Monday during the regular season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review will honor a Division-I Player and Pitcher of the Week. These honors are not based entirely on statistics, but rather the value delivered by a player throughout the week.

For the week ending on February 16, the Philadelphia Baseball Review is honoring La Salle freshman David Smith as Player of the Week and Saint Joseph's senior Jordan DiValerio as Pitcher of the Week.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Monday throughout the college season.

Smith finished the weekend at Furman 4-for-11 and scored four times while driving in a team-high five runs. The Perkiomen product also swiped a pair of bags for the Explorers.

DiValerio tossed five innings on Friday night in Saint Joseph's season opening win over No. 24 Ohio State. He surrendered one run (unearned) on one hit. He walked one and struck out nine.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in Philadelphia region.
