Jake Arrieta takes the hill for the Phillies
Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said on Sunday that he's not yet in panic mode, but even he can't downplay the importance of a victory on Tuesday night.

The last place Marlins defeated the Phillies 3-1 on Monday, nullifying him and his club a chance to gain a game on the Braves in the chase for the NL East pennant.

Tonight, the Phillies turn to Jake Arrieta in the hopes to snap a three-game skid and gain ground in the chase for a potential playoff berth. The veteran has struggled as of late for the Phils, going 0-3 with a 6.30 ERA in his past four starts. He has allowed eight earned runs in his past nine innings, including four homers.

The Marlins counter with 25-year-old rookie right-hander Trevor Richards who is 3-7 with a 4.26 ERA.

Injury Update
Maikel Franco is nursing a sore and swollen wrist and potentially may fly back to Philadelphia on Wednesday for further evaluation and an MRI.

To compensate for Franco missing the next few days, the club recalled J.P. Crawford from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Starting Lineup
