Scott Kingery makes the Philadelphia Phillies Opening Day roster
The Philadelphia Phillies announced their roster on Thursday and when the time for the first pitch comes 10 players will be in uniform that never before participated in Opening Day.

The roster also includes 14 players that were not with the club for last year's Opening Day.

This year's Opening Day roster includes 13 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and four outfielders.

Pitchers (13): Right-handers Víctor Arano, Luis García, Drew Hutchison, Ben Lively, Héctor Neris, Pat Neshek, Aaron Nola, Nick Pivetta, Edubray Ramos, Jake Thompson and Vince Velasquez, and left-handers Hoby Milner and Adam Morgan

Catchers (2): Jorge Alfaro and Andrew Knapp

Infielders (6): J.P. Crawford, Pedro Florimón, Maikel Franco, César Hernández, Scott Kingery and Carlos Santana

Outfielders (4): Aaron Altherr, Odúbel Herrera, Rhys Hoskins and Nick Williams

Right-handed pitchers Jerad Eickhoff (right lat strain), Tommy Hunter (right hamstring strain) and Mark Leiter Jr. (right forearm strain) were placed on the 10-day disabled list (all retro to 3/26). Additionally, right-handed pitcher Jake Arrieta was optioned to single-A Clearwater.

The Phillies are at 40 players on their 40-man roster.
