Saint Joseph's topped Richmond, 12-2, on Thursday night to remain alive in the Atlantic 10 postseason tournament.

The victory came after the Hawks fell to George Mason earlier in the day, 5-4.

Thursday's split means the Hawks will face top seeded St. Louis in an elimination game on Friday afternoon.

Saint Joseph's did not face the Billikens during conference play this season.

The winner will face the loser of Friday's contest between VCU and George Mason.

As for Temple, the Owls fell to 0-2 in tournament pool play with a loss 6-2 to UCF on Thursday.  The defeat essentially eliminates the Owls from advancing in the conference tourney and means Saturday's contest against UConn may very well be the last game in program history.

Temple announced plans earlier this year to eliminate baseball after the 2014 season.
