With questions surrounding his health, Roy Halladay hopes to prove he still belongs among baseball's elite tonight in his first start of the season. 

The 35-year-old is coming off a tough spring where he battled control issues and a severe stomach virus. He sits one win away from 200 for his career.

This Season: The Braves relied on the long ball Monday, cracking three off Cole Hamels en route to a 7-5 win at Tuner Field. 

Pitching Matchup: Roy Halladay in 2012 (3.60 xFIP, 3.67 K/BB, 1.22 WHIP) vs. Paul Maholm in 2012 (3.84 xFIP, 2.64 K/BB, 1.22 WHIP) .

Weather: 58-degrees with clouds and showers

About the Braves: Evan Gattis will make his major league debut tonight behind the plate for the Braves. The 26-year-old is a power threat and will split time with Gerald Laird until Brian McCann comes off the disabled list ... Paul Maholm is entering his first full season with the Braves after coming over from the Pirates at last year's trade deadline. He was 4-5 in 11 starts for the Braves last year, while pitching to a 3.54 ERA ... Halladay was 0-2 with an 11.21 ERA in four starts versus the Braves last season.
