Quaker City Bandits | Negro Strat-O-Matic Baseball Club

The Quaker City Bandits is a fictitious Strat-O-Matic baseball club comprised of Negro baseball players that spent the majority of their playing career with teams in either Philadelphia or Atlantic City.  The team is managed by the Philadelphia Baseball Review and participates in various SOM exhibitions and tournaments. The goal of the club is to create an awareness of some of the best black talent that played in the Philadelphia area.

If you are unfamiliar with Strat-O-Matic, we encourage you to check out their Web site and products. Similar to Diamond Mind Baseball, SOM is a realistic baseball simulator that can be played by computer or dice/cards.

This page contains information about the Quaker City Bandits, including the club's roster and tournament results.  If you are a SOM player and wish to arrange a series against the Quaker City club you can E-mail Patrick Gordon at pgordon@philadelphiabaseballreview.com.

Quaker City Roster
The players and their statistics are based on Strat-O-Matic's Negro League baseball card set. There were not enough players designated in the set from Philadelphia clubs, so we added those that were related to Atlantic City. The links will take you to a bio of the selected player.
