Philadelphia aims for series sweep with Nick Pivetta on the hill
The Philadelphia Phillies have won four consecutive games and aim for a series sweep Monday afternoon as the club wraps up a four-game set with the Atlanta Braves at Citizens Bank Park.

"For sure we're taking a step forward," Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis said. "The team is just playing baseball. Sometimes it's hard. We were losing games and there was some frustration, but the team is together right now."

Galvis drove in Sunday's winning run in walk-off fashion and collected three hits.

"He's a leader, not much more can be said," said Phillies manager Pete Mackanin. "He brings it everyday and the others feed off his energy, it's infectious."

The Phillies turn to rookie Nick Pivetta to keep their streak going. He's struggled as of late, surrendering 17 runs in 16 1/3 innings in three starts since the All-Star break. He's 3-6 with a 5.73 ERA over 14 starts this season.

"I fell behind a little bit, but I was able to battle back," Pivetta said to following his last start where he allowed five runs over six innings to the Houston Astros. "They hit some pitches. That's a good hitting team. There's a reason why they have 60-plus wins. I've got to be better. No excuses. Work on it for next time."

Pivetta beat the Braves in his only appearance against them, allowing three runs in five innings on June 5 at Atlanta.

The Braves counter in the series finale with Mike Foltynewicz who is 6-0 with a 3.74 ERA over his last nine starts.
